This engrossing meeting about LAM was hosted by the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research.The keynote speaker was David Neal Franz MD, Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology & Director, Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine & Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He spoke about treating LAM & Tuberous Sclerosis. Research Fellow at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, Dr Lyn Moir, explained the latest LAM research at the Woolcock Institute as part of the worldwide effort to assemble the jigsaw of LAM pieces.
The Durability of Everolimus Treatment in LAM was the subject of an address by Prof Allan R Glanville MD FRACP, Medical Director, Lung Transplantation & Director, Thoracic Medicine, St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. Completing the picture, Denise Haylen RN talked about Exploring the Experience of Women Living with LAM.
