LARA congratulates the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research on the 21 April 2010 official opening of its state-of-the-art Cell Biology Labs.The focus of the opening was ground-breaking research into LAM under the leadership of Professor Judith Black AO. Apart from being National Health and Medical Research Council Senior Principal Research Fellow, Discipline of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine and Head of the Cells Group at the Woolcock Institute, Judy is an active member of LARA’s Medical & Scientific Advisory Board. Located in the inner Sydney suburb of Glebe, the Woolcock is associated with nearby Sydney University. The new labs were officially opened by LARA’s Patron, celebrity author, Bettina Arndt.
